Mr. Sumardi founded Dalem Handicraft in Yogyakarta in 1996. First, we supplied raw natural fibers to local workshops. Later, we expanded into producing handwoven home decor items. In 2024, we re-established our brand for the direct global market. Today, we partner with over 30 artisan villages across Java.
Furthermore, we dedicate a portion of every purchase order to social programs. These funds directly support local orphanages, clean water projects, and schooling aid. We document every single contribution with complete transparency. In addition, we are preparing our operations for official international certifications. We warmly welcome global retail partners to grow together with us.

What is the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?
FCL (Full Container Load). In particular, the minimum order is 1 x 20’ container
Payment Methods
Telegraphic / Swift Wire Transfer (T/T).
First, buyers provide the agreed down payment before production begins. Next, our team inspects and packs your finished goods thoroughly. The buyer then settles the remaining balance upon container loading. Alternatively, payment occurs upon receiving a copy of the Bill of Lading (BL). Finally, we send the original shipping documents immediately after transfer confirmation
Sample Order
We process sample requests at our standard production rate. Furthermore, buyers cover all freight and handling expenses for sample shipments. We gladly offer samples with no minimum order quantity. Consequently, you can evaluate our craft quality with total peace of mind.
Price Terms
We provide price quotations under Ex Works (EXW) and Free On Board (FOB) terms. In addition, we trade primarily in US Dollars (USD) and Euros (EUR). International banking channels convert incoming transfers to our base trading currencies automatically. Finally, we list complete payment account details on each commercial invoice
Guarantees and Claim Procedures
Natural fibers have unique organic traits, so general warranties do not apply. However, we strictly honor all written guarantees agreed before ordering. Buyers must submit any quality claims within 7 days of port arrival. In response, we replace verified defects during your next container shipment. Total compensation will never exceed the invoiced product value. In addition, buyers should supply clear packaging instructions in advance. Otherwise, our standard export packing methods will apply.
Child Labor Policy
Dalem Handicraft strictly bans child labor across all production, packing, and finishing steps. In rural villages, teenagers sometimes learn weaving traditions from their parents. However, children of mandatory school age must attend school consistently. Therefore, we never employ anyone under 18 years old. We also require our subcontractor network to follow this strict policy. If violations happen, we issue one warning before terminating the partnership completely
